Legislative Initiatives
One of CFNLW's three missions is to proactively sponsor legislation that allows citizens to own, carry and use Non Lethal technologies for Self Defense. This includes both sponsoring new legislation State by State that allows such rights, and working to rescind and eliminate restrictions on NLW's in States that prohibit them.
States that traditionally do not support any kind of Citizen Self Defense, such as New York and California, are often seen as "lost causes" in the NLW Community, but States such as Michigan and Wisconsin have numerous legislators that support opening up current restrictions. CFNLW is currently focusing on over a dozen of those States that are open to relaxing restrictions and considering new legislation.
